Revision to the List of Registrable Basic Dental Qualifications in the Schedule of the Dental Registration Act (w.e.f 1 Jan 2029)

As previously announced , the amendments to the Dental Registration Act (DRA) was passed in Parliament on 2 Aug 2021. The amendments included changes to the Qualifying Examination requirement for foreign-trained dentists, as well as revision to the list of registrable basic dental qualifications in the Schedule of the DRA.

The list of registrable basic dental qualifications in the Schedule of the DRA has been revised. The number of overseas dental schools and universities in the Schedule will be reduced from the current 89 to 62. The revised Schedule will come into effect on 1 Jan 2029.
